rogue-rip-weightlifting-boot New for 2010 is the Rogue RIP weightlifting boot shoe. We refer to it as a “boot shoe” because it has the look and design of a boot but feels like a shoe. This is one of the ONLY weightlifting shoes that has a .5″ heel, making it a great shoe for those that are just getting into weightlifting as it really helps work on form. In fact, the shoe was fabricated with that in mind, designed especially for the crossfit world and those following the famous “Starting Strength” program.

The shoe is of the same build quality that Rogue is famous for, solid! The half inch heel make this really comfortable as well. I find that most weightlifting shoes are great when you are lifting, but they absolutely suck to walk in. This has to be one of the only weightlifting shoes that you can wear in the gym and actually walk around without feeling uncomfortable.

The heel is a solid construction with no compression and the outer material is suede so they break in quickly and breath well. These are not Do-Win style shoes so the width is about average. Rogue has yet to release information on sizing so we don’t know yet if they run big or small.

Unfortunately Rogue sold out of these in about two days so when we can get our hands on a pair we will do a complete review… stay tuned.
